Puna Competitive Fund: Second Call for Proposals 2025

What are we looking for?

The competition will provide reimbursable and non-reimbursable funding for climate adaptation initiatives that contribute to the conservation of the puna, the farming communities and their livelihoods.

In this call, 58 districts in Arequipa, Apurímac, Cusco, Puno and Lima (province of Yauyos) are participating.

  • Window 1:  Communities, producer associations and cooperatives in partnership with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). (Closed)
  • Window 2: Micro and/or small enterprises, community enterprises, producer associations and cooperatives with clear commercial objectives and target markets.
  • Window 3: Organizations with a recently approved business plan and with an agreement signed by Agroideas or in the implementation phase. (Coming soon)

Prioritized topics

The Local Initiatives to be chosen must integrate measures:

Main Value Chains of camelids (alpacas, llamas and vicuña) and high Andean crops (quinoa, native potato varieties).

Eligible Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) measures

Conservation and restoration of wetlands, family qochas, agroforestry, forest restoration with native species, restoration of terraces and terraces, integrated soil fertility management, infiltration ditches, contour farming, conservation agriculture and sustainable pasture management.
