Guarantee the conservation of the Cotahuasi Landscape Reserve's natural and scenic resources, thereby promoting the rational use of natural resources, encouraging tourism and allowing for the socioeconomic development of the surrounding communities.

Manage the institutional positioning of SERNANP, administered by Profonanpe. SERNANP's objective is to contribute to the sustainable development of Peru through the conservation of the country's biological diversity.
